As the heat produced in a wire due to flow of current through the wire is directly proportional to the resistance of the wire so when resistance is higher then the heat produced in the wire will be larger .
As we know that according to Joule's heating law , H = I2Rt
So , heat produced is directly proportional to resistance (R) . So heat produced will be higher .
