Here is the answer you were looking for:
$\sqrt{72} + \sqrt{48}$

On splitting we get,

$\sqrt{2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3 \times 3} + \sqrt{ 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 2 \times 3} \\ \\ = \sqrt{2 \times {2}^{2} \times {3}^{2} } + \sqrt{3 \times {2}^{2} \times {2}^{2} } \\ \\ = 2 \times 3 \sqrt{2} + 2 \times 2 \sqrt{3} \\ \\ = 6 \sqrt{2} + 4 \sqrt{3}$

putting values we get,

$6 \times 1.414 + 4 \times 1.732 \\ \\ = 8.484 + 6.928 \\ \\ = 15.412$
