The value of sec⁴θ - tan⁴θ = 7/12.

  • The value of sec²θ - tan²θ is given as 7/12.
  • Now we have to find the value of sec⁴θ - tan⁴θ.
  • Now,

sec⁴θ - tan⁴θ

= (sec²θ - tan²θ)(sec²θ + tan²θ)              (∵ a²-b² = (a+b)(a-b))

= (sec²θ - tan²θ)(7/12)      (∵ The value of sec²θ + tan²θ is given as 7/12.)

Now , sec²θ - tan²θ = 1 (Identity)

= (1)(7/12) = (7/12)
