Given:-

sec^2\theta-tan^2\theta=1

To find :-

tan^2\theta

SOLUTION:-

As they given

sec^2\theta-tan^2\theta=1Transpose \: \: 1 \: to \:L.H.S \:and\: tan^2\theta \:to\: RHS

sec^2\theta-1=tan^2\theta

So, tan^2\theta= sec^2\theta-1
