squaring on both sides

sec^2+tan^2+2sectan=p^2

1+tan^2+tan^2+2sectan=p^2

2tan^2+2sectan=p^2-1

2tan(tan+sec)=p^2-1

2tan(p)=p^2-1

tan=p^2-1/2p

By tanx=opposite side/adjacent side

cosesx=p^2+1/p^2-1 ( cosex=hypotenuse/opposite side)
