if sec theta = 17/8 then prove that 3-4 sin ² theta / 4 cos² theta -3 = 3-tan²theta/ 1-3 tan² theta

so cos©= 8/17

sin©=√1-cos²©

sin©=√1-(8/17)²

sin©=√225/289

sin©=15/17

tan ©= 15/8

now put value and

get

RHS=LHS
