Correct statement :

If secθ = cosecθ and 0° ≤ θ ≤ 90°.

Find the value of θ.

Given :

  • secθ = cosecθ
  • 0° ≤ θ ≤ 90°

To Find :

  • The value of θ

Solution :

secθ = cosecθ

We know that : secθ = cosec(90-θ)

⟹ cosec(90-θ) = cosecθ

⟹ 90-θ = θ

⟹ 90 = θ+θ

⟹ 90 = 2θ

⟹ θ = 90/2

⟹ θ = 45

Therefore, θ = 45° and 0° ≤ 45° ≤ 90°
