Sec theta=√2 tan theta + tan theta
Sec theta =(√2+1)tan theta
Now rationalise
Sec theta =tan theta (√2+1)×(√2-1)/(√2-1)
Sec theta (√2-1)= tan theta
√2 sec theta - sec theta= tan theta
Sec theta + tan theta= √2 sec theta
