Given that,

  • sec θ + tan θ = 1

To find,

  • Value of sec θ - tan θ.

Let,

We know that, one of the Trigonometric Identity :

➡ sec² θ - tan² θ = 1

Then, we can write it as,

➠ (sec θ + tan θ)(sec θ - tan θ) = 1

➠ 1(sec θ - tan θ) = 1

➠ (sec θ - tan θ) = 1/1

➠ (sec θ - tan θ) = 1

∴ Hence, value of sec θ - tan θ = 1

More Information,

Important Trigonometric Identities :

◼ sin² θ + cos² θ = 1

◼ sec² θ - tan² θ = 1

◼ cosec² θ - cot² θ = 1
