The given equation can be written as:
(1/cos theta) + (sin theta / cos theta) = 1
(1 + sin theta) / cos theta = 1
1 + sin theta = cos theta
cos theta can be written as ( sin^2 theta - 1)^0.5
which gives us the equation,
1 + sin theta = ( sin^2 theta - 1)^0.5
squaring both sides,
1 + sin^2 theta + 2sin theta = sin^2 theta - 1
2sin theta = -2
sin theta = -1
(1/cos theta) + (sin theta / cos theta) = 1
(1 + sin theta) / cos theta = 1
1 + sin theta = cos theta
cos theta can be written as ( sin^2 theta - 1)^0.5
which gives us the equation,
1 + sin theta = ( sin^2 theta - 1)^0.5
squaring both sides,
1 + sin^2 theta + 2sin theta = sin^2 theta - 1
2sin theta = -2
sin theta = -1
