I am holding the "THETAS" as "x" here.

So, It is given that, sec x + tan x = 7.

Therefore, sec x - tan x = ?

We already know that,

sec²x - tan²x = 1

So, (sec x + tan x) (sec x - tan x) = 1

=> 7 (sec x - tan x) = 1

=> sec x - tan x = 1/7 [ANSWER]

THUS, THE REQUIRED ANSWER IS 1/7.
