MN = 1, it is proved.

Step-by-step explanation:

We have,

\sec \theta+\tan \theta=M

and \sec \theta-\tan \theta=N]

To prove that, MN = 1.

∴ MN = (\sec \theta+\tan \theta)(\sec \theta-\tan \theta)

= \sec^{2} \theta-\tan^{2} \theta

[ ∵(a+b)(a-b)=a^{2} -b^{2}]

= 1

[∵\sec^{2} \theta-\tan^{2} \theta=1]

Hence, MN = 1, it is proved.
