Hope it will help u:-

Given - secA= x+1/4x

To prove - secA-tanA=1/2x or 2x

Prove -

sec^2-tan^2=1

sec^2A=x^2+1/16x^2+1/2

put the value

x^2+1/16x^2+1/2-1= tan^2A

x^2+1/16^2-1/2=tan^2

tan^2A=(x-1/4x)^2

tanA=x-1/4x

Put the value

SecA+tanA=x+1/4x+x-1/4x

SecA+tanA=2x

Hence prove....☺☺
