Let's :

1st number = x

2nd number = x/5

According to question :

$\longrightarrow \sf x - \frac{x}{5} = 1 \\ \\\longrightarrow \sf \frac{5x - x}{5} = 1 \\ \\ \longrightarrow \sf\frac{4x}{5} = 1 \\ \\\longrightarrow \sf 4x = 5 \\ \\\longrightarrow \sf x = \frac{5}{4}$

Therefore

• 1st number = 5/4

• 2nd number = 1/4
