Heya!!
( 1 + Sin x ) / Cos x = p
put Sin x = z
=>
( 1 + z ) = p × ( √ ( 1-z² ) )
Squaring Both sides.
=>
( 1 + z )² = p² × ( 1 - z² )
=>
1 + z² + 2z = p² - p²z²
=>
z² ( 1 + p² ) + 2z + 1 - p² = 0
=>
z = -2 + √ ( 4 -4 ( 1+p² ) ×( 1-p²) ) /2
=>
z = -2 + √ ( 1 - 1 + p⁴ ) /2
=>
z = -1 + √ ( p⁴ )
OR
z = -1 - p²
So,
Cosec x = 1 / ( - 1 - p² )
Or
Cosec x = 1 / ( -1 + p²)
( 1 + Sin x ) / Cos x = p
put Sin x = z
=>
( 1 + z ) = p × ( √ ( 1-z² ) )
Squaring Both sides.
=>
( 1 + z )² = p² × ( 1 - z² )
=>
1 + z² + 2z = p² - p²z²
=>
z² ( 1 + p² ) + 2z + 1 - p² = 0
=>
z = -2 + √ ( 4 -4 ( 1+p² ) ×( 1-p²) ) /2
=>
z = -2 + √ ( 1 - 1 + p⁴ ) /2
=>
z = -1 + √ ( p⁴ )
OR
z = -1 - p²
So,
Cosec x = 1 / ( - 1 - p² )
Or
Cosec x = 1 / ( -1 + p²)
