Here SP=₹900. DISCOUNT =20% MARKED PRICE =X SO X-20% OF X= 900. X-20÷100*X=900. 100X-20X÷100=900

Correct question,

If the selling price of an article is ₹ 900 and is given at a discount of 20 % the market price?!?

Given,

S.P.=₹900

Discount = 20  \%

To find,

The market price of the article

Solution,

  • Given in attachment

  • Therefore, Marked price of the article is ₹1,125

Verification :-

Discount = MP - SP

= ₹(1125 - 900)

= ₹ 225

SP = MP - Discount

= ₹(1125 - 225)

= ₹900

▫️Hence Verified.

Short-hands Used :-

CP = Cost Price

SP = Selling Price

MP = Marked Price

Disc = Discount
