if sin 0= √3/2 ,cos0=-1/2 , then 0 lies in
a. first quadrant
b. second quadrant
c. third quadrant
d. fourth quadrant​

  • In quadrant 1=all trigonometric values are positive[sin, cos, tan, cot, sec, cosec]
  • In quadrant 2=sin and cosec values are positive
  • In quadrant 3=tan and cot values are positive
  • In quadrant 4= cos and sec values are positive
  1. So from the question we can state that sin theta is positive and cos theta is negative.
  2. From the criteria we know about the quadrants we can know that
  3. Sin theta is positive in quadrant 1 and quadrant 2
  4. Cos theta is negative in quadrant 2 and quadrant 3
  5. In the both above-mentioned statments [4,5] the only quadrant which satisfies both conditions that are sin theta should be positive and cos theta is negative is quadrant 2
