Solution :

sin 22° × cosec ( 90 - θ ) = 1

Using cosec ( 90 - θ ) = sec θ ,

⇒ sin 22° × sec θ = 1

⇒ sec θ = 1 / sin 22°

Using inverse of sin θ i.e 1 / sin θ = cosec θ ,

⇒ sec θ = cosec 22°

Using cosec θ = sec ( 90 - θ ) ,

⇒ sec θ = sec ( 90 - 22 ) °

⇒ sec θ = sec 68°

Comparing on both the sides

⇒ θ = 68°

Therefore the value of θ is 68°.
