Heya

______________________________

Sin ( A + 30 ) = Sin ( 90 )

Becoz Sin ( 90 ) = 1

=>

A + 30 = 90

=>

A = 90 -30

=>

A = 60°

So, Sec A = Sec (60°) = 2/1

Anonymous: answer will be 2.. cos 60 = 1/2 ..cos is reciprocal of sec :)

Given:

  • sin(A+30) = 1

To Find:

  • The value of sec(A)

Solution:

Consider,

⇒ sin(A+30) = 1

⇒ sin(A+30) = sin(90) {from trigonometry table( sin(90) = 1) }

⇒ A + 30 = 90 {cancelling sin OBS}

⇒ A = 90-30 {subtracting the terms}

⇒ A = 60

Now substitute thye value of A in sec(A), we get,

⇒ sec(60) = 2 {from trigonometry table  { (sec(60) = 2) }

∴ The value of sec(60) = 2
