QUESTION:-

if sin A=4/5 then find cos A and tan A

SOLUTION:-

First of all trigonometry is a branch of mathematics which handles of TRIANGLES AND ITS COMPONENTS.

Since,

Sin A =4/5

then as we know,

 \sin(a)  =  \frac{p}{b}

and since its perpendicular by base, we can see that Perpendicular is 4 and base is 5.

So,

similarly,

Cos= p/b

so,

since perpendicular is with us and hypotenuse,

we calculate the Base, by the help of Pythagoras theorem.

So,

p²+b²=h²

=> 4²+b²=5²

=> b²=25-16

=>b=√9

=> b=3 units.

And,

Cos= b/h

so,

using this!

Cos= 3/5

and since,

Tan=p/b

we get,

tan= 4/3

So,

CosA=3/5 and tanA=4/3
