since it was right angled at B,

sin A = opp/hyp = BC/AC = 5/13

by phythagoreus rule

AC² = AB² + BC²

13²=AB²+5²

=> 169 = AB²+25

=> AB² = 169-25 = 144

=> AB = 12

so, tan C = opp/adj = AB/BC = 12/5
