 \sin(x + y)  =  \frac{1}{2}  \\ x + y =  \frac{\pi}{6}
x+y=30°

 \cos(x - y)  = 1 = x - y = 0
x-y=0

adding both equation.....

2x=30

x=15°

so Y=15°.

hope it will help you.

hey dear
irfan is here,

as we know that sin 30degree=1/2
so
sin(a+b)=30
cos(a-b)=o degree (cos 90-theta)=sin theta
here,
a+b=30...1
a-b=0.......2
=2a=30
a=15
put a=15 in ..1
a+b=30
15+b=30
b=30-15=15
