Answer:

tan theta =

(adj side)^2=(hyp)^2-(opp side)^2

in sin theta,a/b=opp side/hypotenuse

so hyp=b

opp side=a

then (adj side )^2=b^2-a^2

adj side =√b^2-a^2

so tan theta=opp side/adj side

=a/√b^2-a^2.

➠ AnSwer :-

➝ given :

  • sinθ = a/b

➝ To find :

  • tan θ

➝ SoLution :

sinθ = a/b = perpendicuqlar/adjacent

By Pythagoras theorem :

AC² = AB² + BC²

we know,

  • AC = b
  • AB = a

so,b² = a² + BC²

⇾BC² = b² - a²

⇾BC = √b² - a²

⇾tanθ = perpendicular/base

⇾tanθ = a/√b²-a²
