Given sin C=15/17=opposite side/hypotenuse

Let the adjacent side be 'x'

As,(hypotenuse)²=(opposite side)²+(adjacent side)²

⇒(17)²=(15)²+(x)²

⇒x²=(17)²-(15)²

⇒x²=289-225

⇒x²=64

⇒x=√64

⇒x=8

Now, Cos C=adjacent side/hypotenuse

∴Cos C=8/17
