If sin q + sin2 q = 1, then find the value of the expression (cos2 q + cos4 q).​

Answer:

Given :

 \star \large{ \:  \: sin \: q \:  +   {sin}^{ \: 2} q = 1}

 \star \large \: sin \: q \:  = 1 -  {sin}^{2} q \:

We know that,

✪ 1 - sin² q = cos ² q

 \star \:  \large  \:  \:  \sf sin \: q \:  = co s^{ \: 2} q \: ........eq \: 1

so substituting in cos² q + cos⁴ q

 \large \sf \star  \: \: sin \: q \:  +  {sin}^{2} q \:  = 1

Therefore , the value is 1 ....
