since sin theta + cos theta =root 2
squaring on both sides
we get sin^2 theta +cos^2 theta +2sin theta *cos theta
tan theta +cot theta=sin/cos +cos /sin
sin^2 theta +cos^2 theta/sin theta *cos theta
since sin^2 theta+cos^2 theta =1
1/sin theta *cos theta
=1/1/2 {sin theta *cos theta =1/2}
1*2
=2
squaring on both sides
we get sin^2 theta +cos^2 theta +2sin theta *cos theta
tan theta +cot theta=sin/cos +cos /sin
sin^2 theta +cos^2 theta/sin theta *cos theta
since sin^2 theta+cos^2 theta =1
1/sin theta *cos theta
=1/1/2 {sin theta *cos theta =1/2}
1*2
=2
