The question is :-
Sin∅ = 1 / 3
So ,
Cosec∅ = 1 / sin∅
Cosec∅ = 3 .
Now ,
2Cot²∅ + 2
= 2 ( Cot² ∅ + 1 )
= 2 * Cosec²∅
[ By identity ]
= 2 * ( 3 ) ²
= 2 * 9
= 18
