 \sin( \alpha  - 30)  =  \frac{1}{2}  \\  \sin( \alpha  - 30)  =  \sin(30)  \\  \alpha  - 30 = 30 \\  \alpha  = 30 + 30 = 60 \\  \cos( \alpha )  =  \cos(60)  \\   \cos( \alpha )  =  \frac{1}{2}
