Hi
Here I am using X instead of theta
It is given that ,
Sin X = a / b
Cos x = √( 1 - sin² x )
= √ [ 1 - ( a/b )² ]
= √ [ ( b² - a² ) / b²
= √ ( b² - a² ) / b
I hope this helps you.
