sin theta =a/b=perpendicular/ hypotenuse

therefore, hypotenuse²= p²+b²(let p=ax and h=bx)

=> b= √b²x²-a²x²

=>b=√b²-a² x

now, sec theta =b/h

=√b² -a²x /bx

=√b²-a²/b

similarly, tan theta =p/b=a/√b²-b²

therefore, sec theta +tan theta = √b+a/b-a
