= 2Tan A + Cos^2 A
= 2 Sin A/Cos A + Cos^2 A
= 2 Sin A/ Sin A + Cos^2 A
= 2 + Cos^2 A
= 2 + 1 - Sin^2 A
= 3 + Sin^2 A or 3 + Cos^2 A
