  • cos\theta=\frac{3}{5}
  • tan\theta=\frac{4}{3}

We know that sin\theta = \frac{Perpendicular}{Hypotenuse}

Hence in the right angled triangle the perpendicular is 4 units and hypo. is 5 units.

{\blue{\bold{\text{By pythagoras theorem}}}}

Perp²+Base²=Hypo²

(4)²+base²= (5)²

Base²=(5)²-(4)²

Base²=25-16

Base²=9

Base=\sqrt{9}

Base=3 units

In the triangle we get

  • Perpendicular = 4
  • Base = 3
  • Hypotenuse = 5

1) cos\theta=\frac{Base}{Hypotenuse}

cos\theta = \frac{3}{5}</p><p><strong>2</strong><strong>)</strong><strong> </strong>tan[tex]\theta = \frac{Perpendicular}{base}

tan\theta = \frac{4}{3}

Hope it helps
