sin theta = p/q

sin²theta + cos² theta = 1

cos theta =√( 1 - sin² theta)

=√(1- (p²/q²) )

= √(q²-p²) / q

tan theta = sin theta / cos theta

= {p/q} /{ √(q²-p²) / q }

= p / √(q²-p²)
