Given :

sin∅ - cos∅ = 0

To Find :

The value of sin^{4}∅ + cos^{4}

Solution :

sin∅ - cos∅ = 0

or, sin∅  =  cos∅

or, tan∅ = 1

 ∴   ∅  = 45°

sin^{4}∅ + cos^{4}

= sin^{4} 45° + cos^{4} 45°

=  (\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} } )^{4}  + (\frac{1}{\sqrt{2} } )^{4}

= \frac{1}{4}  + \frac{1}{4}

=  \frac{2}{4}

=  \frac{1}{2} (Answer)
