sin ( theta ) = x
and
sec (theta ) = y
we have to find
cot (theta ) = ?
solution:-
we know that :
sec x = 1 / cos x
=> cos x = 1 / sec x
here,
cos ( theta ) = 1 / sec ( theta ) = 1 / y
now,
cot (theta) = cos (theta ) / sin ( theta )
= (1 / y ) / x
= 1 / xy answer
