if sin x=cosec x
find sin x+cos x and
sin x - cos x

Answer :

Given,

sinx = cosecx

or, sinx = 1/sinx

or, sin²x = 1

So, x = 90°, taking the positive value only

i) sinx + cosx

= sin90° + cos90°

= 1 + 0

= 1

ii) sinx - cosx

= sin90° - cos90°

= 1 - 0

= 1

sin x = 1/sin x

sin² x = 1

sin x = √1 = 1

sin x = sin 90

x = 90
