If sin(x+y)=tan 45°and sec x=2 find the value of x and y

sin(x + y) = tan 45°

sin (x+ y) = 1

x + y = 90..........(1)

also, sec x = 2

x = 60°

put x= 60° in equation (1)

60° + y = 90

y = 90-60

y = 30°

answer: x = 60° , y = 30°
