Solution :-
Given ,
- sinθ = 3/5
To find ,
- cosθ & tanθ
If sinθ = 3/5 , then opposite side of θ will be 3 and Hypotenuse of the triangle will be 5
So , using Pythagoras theorem
Hypotenuse² = Base² + height²
➜ 5² = 3² + height²
➜ Height² = 25 - 9
➜ Height² = 16
➜ Height = √16
➜ Height = 4
Now , finding cosθ & tanθ
- cosθ = Adjacent/Hypotenuse = 4/5
- tanθ = opposite/adjacent = 3/4
Hence , cosθ = 4/5 & tanθ = 3/4
