sin A = √3/2sin A = sin 60°A = 60°

Now, cot A = cot 60° = 1/√3

2cot² A - 1 = 2cot² 60° - 1= 2(1/√3)² - 1= 2/3 - 1 = -1/3

Hence your required answer is -1/3
