If small bits of paper are placed on a drum,why do they jump if the drum is struck.

due to vibrations produced by beating of drum

There is science behind everything.

It happens because when a drum is struck vibrations are produced which when travel through the membrane of the drum they impart vibrational energy to the paper which results in the bouncing of the bits of paper.
