Normally, a fertile soil contains many essential nutrients that help in the growth of plants. So these nutrients should be replenished by adding suitable fertilizers to the soil.

These nutrient contents may be used up by the trees grown on a land or consumed up by some fungi.

Soil nutrients are required to be replenished so that the plants receive nourishment, and the health of the animals and humans consuming those plant foods, is benefited.

Answer:

The soil has all the nutrient but, we have to replenish it because when we grow crop/plants the nutrients of the soil are taken by the roots for the plants. So, if we will not replenish the soil then after some time the nutrient will be finished and the crop will not grow.

Hope this help.
