No. of men=1400

No. of days=40 days

After 30 days, some more army men joins them and now the food lasts for 7 days.

so,we will use "Time and work" to find the additional men=

1200 \times (40 - 30) = x \times 7 \\ 1400 \times 10 = 7x \\ x =  \frac{14000}{7}  \\ x = 2000

Additional men would be

2000-1400= 600 men

Answer:

600

Step-by-step explanation:

Number of men = 1400

Number of days = 40 days

After 30 days, some more army men join them and now the food lasts for only 7 more days.

Let the total number of men at the end be y

1400 X (40 - 30) = y X 7

14000 = 7y

y = 14000/7 = 2000

y = 2000 men

So, Additional men would be

2000 - 1400 = 600

Hence, there are 600 additional army men that had joined the camp after 30 days.
