Solution :-

Let the SP of 10 articles be x

So SP of one article = x/10

Given

SP of 10 article = CP of 16 articles

So CP of 16 article = x

CP of one article = x/16

In this transaction x/10 > x/16 i.e SP > CP

So the given transaction is a Profit

Profit = SP - CP

= x/10 - x/16

= (8x - 5x)/80

Profit = 3x/80

 \bf Profit \:  \% =  \dfrac{Profit}{ CP}  \times 100 \\  \\  \\   \sf =  \dfrac{3x}{80} \div  \frac{x}{16}   \times 100 \\  \\  \\  \sf =  \dfrac{3x}{80}  \times  \dfrac{16}{x}  \times 100 \\  \\  \\ \sf =  \dfrac{3}{8}  \times 16 \times 10 \\  \\  \\  \sf = 3 \times 2 \times 10 \\  \\  \\ \sf = 60 \%

Therefore profit % is 60 %.
