Profit = Selling price - cost price

and profit percent = profit/cost price *100

Selling price of 16 water bottles = cost price of 17 water bottles

Let this be equal to k

Then selling price of one bottle=k/16 and

cost price = k/17

Profit = difference = k/16-k/17 = k/272

Percentage of profit on cost = \frac{\frac{k}{272} }{\frac{x}{17} } *100 </p><p>= 6.25%
