Time = d/s = 1/(5x10^5) = 2x 10^-6 seconds

The time taken is 2×10-⁶ seconds.

Given - Speed and distance

Find - Time

Solution - As per the known fact, speed, distance and time are related as -

speed = distance/time

Keep the mentioned values in formula to find the time taken by one electron to traverse 1 meter.

Rewriting the formula according to time

Time = distance/speed

Time =  \frac{1}{5 \times  {10}^{5} }

Performing division to find the time

Time = 2×10-⁶ seconds

Hence, the electron will take 2×10-⁶ seconds to transverse 1 meter.
