⭐Solution⭐

we know ,

if given two points A(a,b) and B(c,d) ,

so, distance between these point will be

AB = [ (a-c)²+(b-d)²]

So,

a/c to questions.

[{(a+2)²+(-3-a)²}]² = 85.....(1)

=> (a+2)²+(-3-a)²=85

=>(+4+4a+9++6a)=85

=>(2+10a+13)=85

=>2a²+10a - 72=0

=> +5a-36=0

=>+9a-4a-36=0

=>a(a+9)-4(a+9)=0

=>(a-4)(a+9)=0

(a-4)=0 or (a+9)=0

=> a= 4 or a = -9

Thus:-

Value of a = 4 or -9
