if standard deviation of 10 observations is 2,and if we add 5 with every observations then the standard deviation would be 7 ! is it true ? Elaborate!

no it's still the same... because whatever we add in observation that is added to mean...so when we find difference of mean and observation..at that time 5 cancel out it self..
so there is no change in standard deviation
