change in length will be equal to original length.

ANSWER .

As we know that

Y =FL/ AdL

where ,

Y = young's modulus

F = Force

L=original length

dL = change in length.

formula can be written as ,

dL = FL/ AY

But it is given that stress is numerically equal to young's modulus.

I.e. F/ A = Y

therefore equation will be

dL = YL/ Y

dL= L.

HOPE IT WILL HELP YOU. ✌✌✌
