Every citizen contributes to the development of the nation. The means, level and modes are different. All contributions whether small or big are all necessary for a complete development of a nation.
Among the following, generating employment is most important. Abiding by constitution is an essential contribution.
1. First by following the fundamental responsibilities and duties as mentioned in the constitution, a citizen helps the nation to remain a federal country functioning properly.
2. If a person is earning honestly and working honestly, then he/she is indirectly in the service of the society. As the person does some useful work, needed in the society at some level.
3. If a person is not engaged in anti-society activities, then also a person is contributing positively. This saves the government effort in policing and legal activities, required otherwise. They are expensive and time consuming.
4. A person can educate other citizens, children or anyone, who need some education to live better in the society. It may not be needed to go too much extra sacrificing one's life, but can do as much as possible. In India, people need education regarding the system, administration, reading and writing skills, English language or Hindi language etc.
5. Understanding of programs like swach bharat, harita haram campaigns and following them at home or in the community.
6. Any social welfare activity can be taken up.
7. A person can help by donating money to voluntary organizations doing service directly to elderly, children, disabled or orphans.
8. A distinguished scholar or scientist can bring fame to the country by a great contribution to the field with knowledge or innovations. Then automatically developments will take place in future.
9. Excelling in sports or academics or international quizzes or competitions results in development of the country in that field. More people will take that field and the country becomes more expert and famous.
10. By following a model lifestyle, one helps development. Many people will idolize the model person and follow the good lifestyle, ethics, morals and with positive contributions to the society.
