if sum of ages of father snd his son in years is 45 and thrice the difference of there ages in years is sane as sum of ages . find the age of father

X= age of father and y= age of son. x+y=45 and 3(x-y)=45 Now, solving the eqn x=30yrs

son age be y

x+y=45..................(1)

3(x-y)=45
3x-3y=45................ (2)

multiply 3 in equation (1)

3x+3y=135
3x-3y=45
=6x=180
x=180/6
x=30

Father's age is 30 years
